How to select gas flowmeter
In the purchase of gas flow timing, users often only pay attention to the caliber, temperature, pressure, flow and other necessary parameters, rarely to measure the medium to further understand, which undoubtedly increases the difficulty of the selection of gas flow meters, once the selection of incorrect meters measurement accuracy will be greatly affected.
Therefore, when we choose the gas flow timing, we should not only consider the parameters/prices of the gas flowmeter, but also understand the characteristics of the measured medium and product characteristics in order to make a more correct choice.
Today, we mainly analyze the selection of gas flowmeters according to the characteristics of gas:
1, gas flow, especially coke oven gas contains tar, water vapor, dust impurities, the tar affected by temperature changes will form crystallization on the flowmeter and adhere to the flowmeter, resulting in gas flowmeter can not work, so in the selection, the user must understand the impurities contained in the gas;
2, the water vapor in the gas will change with the change of temperature, so that the composition of the gas changes. In the actual measurement, the saturation of gas temperature and gas density corresponding to the working conditions are generally converted to the gas density under the standard condition for calculation, and the change of gas components will have a greater impact on the measurement. Therefore, in the selection of gas flow timing, it is necessary to consider whether temperature and pressure compensation is required according to the situation to ensure the measurement accuracy;
3, whether the gas is corrosive is also a very important point, some gas will have a certain corrosion, will have a greater impact on the measurement of the instrument. To determine this point, it is mainly to choose the material of the gas flowmeter, which is generally used in 304 stainless steel. The selection of instrument material reference pipe material, at least consistent with and pipe material, higher requirements can be used better material, such as 316 stainless steel.
