What are the key factors that directly affect the measurement of ultrasonic level meter
When we use the ultrasonic level meter, we must clearly know what factors affect the measurement of the ultrasonic level meter. Today, flowmeter manufacturer Aister instrument will explain the following key factors to you, hoping to help you.
1. Steam and fog have a direct impact on ultrasonic level meter: when the working ambient temperature is very high, the liquid medium is easy to produce steam or fog, in view of the steam is lighter than the air, so it rises to the top of the tank, producing a layer of steam that absorbs and scatters ultrasonic pulses. The direct influence of the steam layer on the measurement can be reduced or mitigated by modifying the static pipe.
2. Foam has a direct impact on the ultrasonic level meter: In the process of using the ultrasonic level meter to measure the liquid level, there will always be foam interference. Foam can be divided into four categories according to its properties: dry, wet, neutral and heavy. Dry foam and wet foam can reflect ultrasonic waves back, so it has no direct impact on the measurement with ultrasonic level meter. The neutral foam will absorb and diffuse part of the ultrasonic wave, thus weakening the ultrasonic reflection and causing instability of the echo. Therefore, when the surface of the medium is thick and thick foam, the measurement error of the ultrasonic level meter will be larger, or even difficult to measure. Under the condition of serious interference, the ultrasonic level meter can shield the interference of foam with the help of modified static pipe.
3. Stirring has a direct impact on the ultrasonic level meter: on-site containers are often stirred, and the liquid fluctuation is relatively large, which directly affects the measurement of the ultrasonic level meter; In this case, the speed of the mixer can be properly reduced, or the probe can be deviated from the mixing center; It can also install static tubes, so it is reasonable to remove the direct impact of stirring on liquid level measurement due to the agitator humidity sensor probe, stainless steel electric tube,PT100 sensor, fluid solenoid valve, cast aluminum heater, heating ring.
4. The blind spot has a direct impact on the ultrasonic level meter: the blind spot of the ultrasonic level meter, just like the human eye, the blind spot is when the object is very close to the eye, but can not see clearly, this distance is called the blind spot. The blind spot of ultrasonic level meter varies according to the difference of measurement range. The measurement range is small, the blind spot is small, the measurement range is large, the blind spot is large. Therefore, the higher liquid level specified for measurement cannot be higher than the blind spot of the ultrasonic level meter.
5. The working pressure and temperature have a direct impact on the ultrasonic level meter: the premise is that the speed of sound is difficult to propagate in a vacuum, and the essence of ultrasound is a kind of sound wave, and it is a mechanical wave, so it can not propagate in a vacuum. Second, is the temperature, although the main parameters of the ultrasonic level meter statistics have a larger working pressure value, but with the rise of temperature, the larger working pressure value will be reduced accordingly, so in the case of selection should pay attention to this parameter.
