Which on-site conditions are suitable for the measurement of radar level gauges
The radar level gauge is a radar-type material level measuring instrument with a measurement distance of up to 70 meters. The antenna has been further optimized and processed. A new type of fast microprocessor can perform signal analysis and processing at a higher rate, enabling the instrument to be used for various strongly corrosive liquids.
The antenna of the radar level gauge emits relatively narrow microwave pulses, which are transmitted through the antenna. When the microwaves come into contact with the surface of the measured medium, they will be reflected. The antenna of the radar receives this microwave signal and transmits it to the electronic circuit section. The electronic circuit section automatically analyzes the signal and converts it into a level signal. Due to the extremely fast propagation speed of electromagnetic waves, this process is almost instantaneous.

1. Storage tank volume: For large tanks and relatively large liquefied gas tanks, higher-performance liquid level gauges can be selected; for medium and small tanks, general liquid level gauges can be chosen. The purpose of the liquid storage tank: High-precision liquid level gauges should be selected for trade tanks, while general liquid level gauges can be used for intermediate tanks.
2. Liquid surface characteristics: When storing liquid surfaces with high viscosity (such as heavy oil), it is advisable to use liquid level gauges that do not or have minimal contact with the liquid surface being measured, such as radar, ultrasonic, and magnetostrictive level gauges. For light oil, general liquid level gauges can be used.
3. Actual needs of users: If users require high measurement accuracy and few investment restrictions, high-performance liquid level gauges can be adopted. Generally, for the renovation or renewal of old tank farms, the selection can be considered in combination with the usage and maintenance conditions of the original liquid level gauges, and it is advisable to make a uniform selection as much as possible.
