The following problems that occur during the operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter can be handled in the following way

Fault phenomenon of electromagnetic flowmeter: The data is zero when the pipe is full of flow

Cause of malfunction

1) Check if there are any blockages or poor flow areas in the pipeline.

2) The actual flow rate is relatively small.

3) The flowmeter itself is faulty or the parameter Settings are incorrect

Solution

1) Check the pipeline valves or filter plugs to see if they are clogged or not opened. Clean and open them accordingly.

2) Confirm the actual flow rate. None of the flowmeters can start measuring from 0; they all have a smaller initial flow rate value. The initial flow rate value for DN25 is 0.2m ³ h. The initial flow rate value of DN32 is 0.3m ³ /h.

3) The parameter Settings of the instrument should be checked

The “small-signal cut-off value” is generally recommended at the factory at 0.5.

The “instrument range” is no more than 10 for DN25 and no more than 16 for DN32.

When the electromagnetic flowmeter is in an empty pipe or with fluid flow in the pipeline, observe the change in the size of the FS value during the “flow zero correction”. Generally, the FS value of a normal meter head is very small when the pipe is empty or the fluid is not flowing. As the fluid flows, the FS value will increase (regardless of whether it is positive or negative, as long as there is a change), and it will fluctuate up and down but will not exceed 5.

If the start and stop values of the pump remain unchanged or are 0, it indicates that there is a problem with the meter head and it needs to be returned to the factory for repair. During the debugging process, it is recommended to set “Reverse output Allowed” to “Allowed”.
