What are the common factors that cause electromagnetic flowmeters for sewage

Electromagnetic flowmeters feature high precision and a long service life, and are widely used in fields and industries such as chemical engineering, environmental protection, and metallurgy. However, during the usage process, due to the influence of various factors, it is very easy for the measurement results of the electromagnetic flowmeter to be inaccurate. So, what are the causes of errors in electromagnetic flowmeters?

1. The liquid in the tube is not fully filled: Due to insufficient back pressure or poor installation position of the flow sensor, the liquid in the measuring tube is not fully filled. The fault phenomenon varies depending on the degree of non-filling and the flow conditions. If a small amount of gas in the water pipe flows in laminar or wavy flow, the error will increase, that is, the measured flow value will not be consistent with the actual value. If the flow rate is bubble flow or blockage flow, in addition to the inconsistency between the measured value and the actual value, the output jitter will cause a fault phenomenon due to the instantaneous coverage of the electrical surface by the gas phase. If the gas-phase part of the circulation cross-sectional area in the horizontal pipe stratified flow increases, that is, if the liquid does not fill the pipe, the output jitter will also increase; If the liquid does not fill the pipeline and the liquid surface is lower than the power supply, an overfill output will occur. 2. Solid phase in liquid: If a liquid contains solid substances such as powder, granules or fibers, malfunction may occur. ① Slurry noise; ② Electrical surface contamination; ③ Conductive deposition layers or insulating deposition layers covering electricity or linings; ④ The inner lining is worn or covered by deposits, reducing the flow cross-sectional area.

3. Problems caused by improper selection of electrical and grounding ring materials: The electromagnetic flowmeter malfunctions due to the mismatch between the material and the measured medium. The components in contact with the medium have electrical and grounding rings. Apart from corrosion resistance, as long as it is an electrosurface effect and the matching is improper.
