What are the usage requirements for thermal gas mass flowmeters
The thermal gas mass flowmeter is an instrument that measures fluid flow based on the principle of heat conduction. This instrument accurately measures the mass flow of gas by using the constant temperature difference method. More importantly, the range ratio of this flowmeter is very wide, which greatly meets the measurement requirements of the owner.
Today, we mainly talk about the specific requirements for the use of thermal gas mass flowmeters and what points need to be noted
1. Regarding installation requirements: Most thermal distributed mass flowmeters can be installed in any posture (horizontal, vertical or inclined), as long as the electrical zero point adjustment is made under the working conditions of pressure and temperature after installation. However, some instruments are sensitive to installation postures and must be installed strictly in accordance with the instructions. The performance of most thermal mass flowmeters is not affected by installation, but at low flow rates, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions.
2. Regarding the front straight pipe section: Thermal distribution is not sensitive, while pipe section flow sensors with measuring tubes and insertable instruments require a certain length of front straight pipe section. Install them as recommended by the manufacturer.
3. The vibration of the pipeline connected to the thermal mass flowmeter within the common range will not cause vibration interference. The detection rod of the insertable thermal mass flowmeter must be fixed to the pipeline and kept away from vibrating areas.
4. Thermal gas mass flowmeters have a long response time and are not suitable for pulsating flow.
